High Roller 02:12
Chorus She’s a high roller Gambling her love away She’s a high roller All in and she runs away Strut taking, star chasing She knows what she likes Someone at home While out throwing dice, Uh huh Chorus When the sauce is flowing And the slots are hot No time in here The buzz is bought, Uh huh Chorus If the odds are up And her luck is down An easy decision Ain’t gonna be around, Uh huh Chorus (Break) Youth is wagered The casino is closed The dealer’s alone One shot for the road—Uh huh
3.
Goodbye my family, goodbye my friends I’m taking a trip, my regards I send Promise you’ll call, promise you’ll write My return is unknown, my bags are light Chorus I’m going to California Oh, I’m going away Going to California I’m going back today Take care of yours, keep your chin up high Watch your pride, Keep God’s will in mind Twenty-seven hundred, don’t forget where I’m at Take care of your sister, and your mind on track Chorus Remind my mother, that I love her so Never meant harm, Lord only knows This is my last trip, I won’t go back Keep your shoes clean, wear a warm coat and hat Chorus Chorus

*Chorus Shadow boxing on a cloudy day Ghosts weigh on shoulders so sore Without a partner, but a plan in place Shadow boxing on a cloudy day Life is short and it rains a lot No time to waste Sit down when the food is hot That was grandma’s way Chorus Wash rag on the sink Sweat on the brow Put all your pennies in a bank Don’t complain about the here and now Chorus Listless lays on mossy rocks Every loss fuels our way Tomatoes keep in mason jars Hope don’t wave, it stays Chorus Rock on the radio, tobacco in a can Smell of a campfire T-shirt lines of a tan Feeling good when you bark the tires Chorus Tag Tag
5.
I mentioned when we met Spinning makes me dizzy My heart needs solid ground But you were so sweet and sexy It was late at the fair The music still on Too much drink and candy Most people were gone *Chorus See lust might be crazy And love should be wild Passion and Circles Turn bad after while The lights start getting blurry Hoping the sky is still above You keep twisting that wheel We ain’t talking no more *Chorus Tea cups have never been My idea of fun Operator, can you hear me? I’m dizzy and done *Chorus *Chorus I mentioned when we met Spinning makes me dizzy
6.
Throwing stones feel good Ripples swell Egos sink Broken bonds dwell *Chorus The world turned slow Years burn time In your arms Still and sublime Everything earned As we tarried Moments spurned All blessings buried *Chorus Mid days came I was not fair Each one the same We were not there *Chorus Break Now Earth don’t move The stars sit still I am where I began A broken picture-wheel
